I am co-founder of Palatti, the artist-run group that organises exhibitions on specific sites in an international context. During the Palatti projects, the artists work on location weeks before the opening to prepare the site-specific work for the exhibition and engage in lectures and other activities that stimulate exchange.

Palatti has been a large part of my artistic work and a huge influence on me as an artist. By 2010 I had become so immersed in working on my comics, I decided to leave the group and concentrate on the comics for a while. Palatti continues to organise projects and just recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

There is lots of extensive documentation of the projects on the website here. Apart from exhbitions, Palatti has created various publications. One of which I offer here.

The group is an informal network of visual artists from different nationalities, working in different countries, using different media. The foundation of the collaboration was laid at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands, where most of us met during our studies

Palatti has worked in Leipzig, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Chongqing, Kosovo, San Lucar de Barrameda in Spain, Berlin and Switzerland.

Permanent members of Palatti are or have been: Audrey Bakx, Anna Bas Backer, Mirya Gerardu, Aurelio Kopainig, Julia Mensch, Sara Pape García, Betty Ras, Paul Steenberghe and Yu Xiao Feng.
